A Truth

Most people’s definition of strategy is wrong.

To start with, they think it’s the domain of an external consulting firm. Only understandable when seated in a wood-panelled office.

Those days are gone, thank goodness. Strategy is for everyone. We have a better word for strategy. it’s the plan.

It is doubly ironic when you realize that no strategy will work without a clearly defined outcome in which everyone responsible for delivery is fluent. 

A strategy is a plan of action designed to deliver the aim. Therefore, it needs a clear vision of the aim, the conditions within which it’s likely to succeed, and everyone associated with it knowing their contribution and role.
